As much as I like what I’ve built here, this was originally planned as a wordpress plugin. That’s what you are looking at now. But there are so many reasons this won’t work as planned I have decided to create a LAMP version. And I’m building it at https://vivalatable.com
Right now the only way to connect with someone is to be invited to an event or a community. I’m going to leave it like that for now. The site isn’t about accumulating followers. There aren’t any bragging rights here. So invite your friends to your community. That’s the only way this is going to work.
Posting the link in a reply here and probably anywhere else that reads og tags creates a card that links back to the events list page, not the single event.
I don’t know if there is anything I can do about this.
I think invitations and RSVPs are working. Now members can invite guests to events via a link they can post online, include in a comment, or text, via email, and via bluesky.

I like how if I browse to social.partyminder.com and add to home screen it really looks like an app. Without the address bar any of the browser stuff. This is on Android.
Now you can invite bluesky followers to events and communities.

This is pretty cool. A little clunky on mobile. Not sure what’s up with that.
Now we can completely edit replies. Including images. Yay!
I added attachments to conversation replies.
You know what would be really cool? Is if we could edit replies. That way we could keep a running list of something and update it over time for example.

I have update a ton of stuff. Mostly behind the scenes. We are getting very close to an MVP!
Whole lot more changes the last couple days. I’ve got a couple real events to follow.
Reverted to a known good commit and started over with blue sky integration. Now you can connect to blue sky and access your contacts there from the manage event dialogs. I’ll be spreading links to the invite system tomorrow.
OK. I tried really hard today to set up blue sky integration but am having api issues. I’ll pick this up tomorrow.
More fun today. Added a new wordpress block I wrote to put your avatar up in the corner with a pulldown menu.
A lot of work got done today around style. We simplified the css down to one css file and move nearly all the inline style there.
We reduced the colors to the basic colors provided by the wordpress theme.
We added logout to your profile page and re-established the invite system.
